Arequipa, the white city of sillar

Arequipa is the capital of the colonial era of the Arequipa region of Peru. It is surrounded by 3 volcanoes and has baroque buildings built of sillar, a white volcanic stone. In its historical center, there is the Plaza de Armas, an imposing main square, and to the north of it is the Neoclassical Cathedral Basilica of the 17th century, which houses a museum exhibiting works of art and religious objects.

Transfer from the airport to the hotel  at the indicated time.

-In the early morning we leave on foot to make the city tour through the main square, the cathedral, the church of the company, inside visit of the convent of Santa Catalina, a citadel within the city, with beautiful courtyards and a colonial architecture very sophisticated

-Lunch in a traditional Arequipa restaurant.

-In the afternoon visit of the museum of Andean Sanctuaries, where we can observe the frozen mummy Juanita, sacrificed by the local inhabitants.

-Overnight dinner at a typical restaurant in the white city of Arequipa.

-Night at the hotel.

-Free time to ride.

-Transfer to the airport at the indicated time.
